Sara Trollope was a long-standing matron for adult mental health services at Hillingdon Hospital in London. She passed away from COVID-19 after a week-long battle with the virus. She was just a year away from retiring when she fell ill.
Sara Trollope was described by colleagues as an ‘incredibly rare gift to humanity’. Dr Paul Hopper, a medical director for the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust said that she had an unbeatable combination of kindness, selflessness and total determination to get things right for patients. He concluded that, “she was an example to every one of us.”
Sara Trollope is survived by her husband and four children. Our thoughts go out to her family.
We will remember Sara Trollope.
